Thanksgiving on Guimaras Island

So we pushed all the beds in our Nippa hut together and slept on one huge bed. We are one big happy Peace Corps family, LoL. :)

Thanksgiving dinner was a success!!!

So I have the best uncles in the world!!! Uncle Tom and Chris sent me Chips and Salsa in my care package and I saved a bottle for Thanksgiving. So this was our Thanksgiving appetizer. Delicious!!!

So after swear in we went back to our host families for one more night to celebrate my friend Sara's birthday. You should have seen the party they threw her! This is her with her princess cake. :)

At swearing in some volunteers gave a speech about our training and Peace Corps and everything. The speech was given in four languages, English, Hiligaynon, Cebuano, and Tagalog. (All of the languages that were learned during our training) They did an excellent job!

So this is on our waterfall hike. It started to rain and we were all slipping all over the path and rocks and everything. Also, this is the first day of my brown hair!

I had so much fun! I was not very fast, but I sat next to a man who helped me fill out my bingo card. I didn't win, but I had a lot of fun!

This is a picture from our host family Handog. A farewell and thank you to our host families for hosting us for the past three months. We played American and Filipino games at the party and this is a Filipino game called the newspaper dance. You dance around a newspaper and when the music stops you jump on the newspaper and everyone i your group has to fit on one piece of newspaper. So as the game goes on the paper gets smaller and smaller. This picture was taken right before we all fell down, LoL. :) We didn't win, but it was a fun game! :)
