Welcome to the World Melvel Jo Caitlin :)

In the early morning of June 21st, 2009 my beautiful goddaughter was born. Her mom is one of my very best friends, Marivel. She is a teacher at my high school and one of the nicest people in the world. I love her to death and I am so thankful I have made such wonderful friends like her in the Philippines.
Marivel and her kids-Melvel John, Melvel Jo Caitlin, Melvel Jasmine.

Isn't she soooo cute??!?!?!

So beautiful and so sweet. She has already stolen my heart. :)

Little bit of this and a little bit of that...

Rumulus and Whinny's wedding.
The newlyweds :)
Rumulus and Whinny with all of their sponsors (Godparents). In the Philippines it is not uncommon to have many Godparents.
Grace(Rumulus's sister), Kareen, Charlie, and I at the wedding.
With the happy couple.
The flower girl and I bonded during the ceremony. Ha-ha. Isn't she cute?
With the other flower girl and ring bearers.
After the wedding at Grace's house.
Trip to Pilar with my host family and other Peace Corps volunteers. The scenery was breathtaking.

Walking to the waterfalls.
The first waterfall...
My host brother Reyboy and his friend Jun Jun.
Stopping to drink some buko juice. (Coconut juice)
It's yummy :)
Next waterfall...
WOW!
Amazing
The delicious lunch my host family prepared for us on bamboo shoots-fresh fish, chicken curry, rice, bananas, and pineapples. Yum!

My favorite flowers
Ha-ha, this is for Dad. I think this is Tim. He was very excited to be in the picture.
Sara, Julie, and I in Iloilo before a night out on the town.
4th of July weekend in Bacolod.
I love Justin :)
My friend Tom and the cat he rescued from an alley. Ha-ha, we took this cat EVERYWHERE that weekend.

My friends Charlie and Grace on Charlie's birthday. In the Philippines the custom is YOU take your friends out to for a treat on your birthday. So he treated Grace and I to a delicious seafood meal at a restaurant that just opened in Roxas.
